Search for predicted targets of novel small RNAs         [Go to TargetScan]

1. Select a species

AND

2. Enter nucleotides 2-8 of a small RNA sequence (e.g. "AAGGGCU")

The primary TargetScan site uses TargetScanS to predict biological targets of annotated miRNAs by searching for the presence of 8mer and 7mer sites that match the seed region of each miRNA.
TargetScan Custom extends this search to conserved sites matching novel miRNAs and siRNAs.
